Today (4 May 2025), Ms. Paethongtarn Shinawatra, Prime Minister, posted a message on Facebook that she had received a report of the Mae Sai flooding, which was water that had overflowed from Myanmar into Mae Sai near Wat Phrommawihan. She has now ordered Mr. Anutin, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to urgently help the people and for the Ministry of Public Health to go to the area to collect water samples for testing to reduce panic about contaminated water and to check the bodies of the people affected and closely monitor them.
